The Tudor Age was often bloody and brutal, but it also changed the course of British history forever. Its ruthless rulers – including Henry VIII and Elizabeth I – reshaped religion, defeated fearsome foreign powers and built spectacular palaces to show off their country’s growing wealth and influence.

What about ordinary Tudors? They lived crammed together in the crowded streets of London, hung out at rowdy theatres and visited good witches to get cures for their ailments. Those who rebelled against authority could face horrible consequences, like being burned at the stake!

Let’s travel back in time to get up close and personal with the Tudors, including unlucky sailors, astonishing alchemists, clever cooks and a king in a car park. It’s history like you’ve never seen it before!
